My object is a movie that I didn’t bring with me. When I was a teenager I came home late at night, my parents already sleeping and I switched the TV on. It was “Priscilla- Queen of the Desert” running and I couldn’t take my eyes of this fantastic movie. And when it was finished I felt very emotional because it did so much with me realizing that being gay is something that has to be lived. Anyway it took a couple of years to come out as a gay person in public, a situation very special in a small German village.
To the great characters of “Priscilla”, the pink bus and my parents.
