I accidentally became a film programmer for the Shropshire Rainbow Film Festival! 2 years ago for LGBT history month we showed a film called Gen Silent- all about how many out and proud gay rights activists are going back in the closet as they age- fear, discrimination, prejudice, exclusion and they need and/or receive health and social care. A group decided to explore these issues and write out what we need to do to make sure our “older” lives are safe, creative and exciting - that we support each other and challenge the method of service delivery that excludes us.

To all my sisters and brothers who wish to grow old disgracefully.
