In Easter 2009 I came home from Uni and came out to my parents. My mum in particular took it pretty hard, being a very religious woman, but I remember the most impassioned plea she gave (in the car, while driving and crying - she always was a good multi-tasker!) was “TRY AND BE MORE OF A WILL THAN A JACK” (c.f. Will & Grace). I think that both of us are now quite proud that I am more of an Ashton than anything else.
