This ‘Kippah’ signifies my transmasculine visibility. I bought it at the Gay Centre in Tel Aviv 2 years ago when I started my ‘new’ gender journey. I didn’t wear it at the Western Wall, the Kotel, when I prayed for the first time in the male section ‘cause I was afraid to be too visible! It’s queering what is usually an object of masculinity and gender separation. I’ll wear it next time in Jerusalem. xx
