My story is connected with 2 things- a photograph of me as a child “being a bride” and a piece of satin fabric that I am going to be using to make a wedding dress for a photo-shoot. As a child I didn’t know what ‘being a bride’ meant. To me it was just an image of beauty and dressing up was my favorite game. But I never did become a bride – not in the sense of marrying and raising a family. And so now I am making a wedding dress –a wedding dress of difference- that will be the centerpiece of a photograph that I will take.
